Can't complete Leading by example.

So I started the quest 'Leading by example' a while ago, the problem is that I can't complete the quest. I killed all the ghouls at Bedford station, but it still says I have to clear bedford station. The squire who is following me wont go away, which makes it impossible now to accept some quests. For example on the USS Constetution I cant start the quest because everyone on the boat is shooting the squire because he isn't supposed to be there.

I have tried killing him by shooting him, blowing him up, and through the console but nothing seems to get that kid away from me.. Can anyone help me?

I'm not sure about the squire, but I'm having the same bug at Bedford Station where you kill all the ghouls and it still says it needs to be cleared. Hopefully they'll fix it in the next patch.

I fixed it using a command to bring back on of the ghouls and kill it again, after doing that i could complete the quest. If you dont have a ghoul to resurrect using your console, spawn a new one that also helps.

console commands:
resurrect 00141EA4

Mods respawn in areas after a while- I have experienced this problem with a few places, but after doing other things for a while I return, have to kill a miniboss and the game tell me the deed is done, even if the rest of the place is now packed with the enemies I was supposed to kill.

I've gone back and cleared it 4-5 times now and doesn't seem to want to work.

As far as I know not, but I'm not completly sure

I'm extremely late to the party on this one but
I was having the same exact problem exept it wasn't even showing a place for me to clear, esentially it just a space in the statement "Clear _ of all hostiles with Squire"
I tried these solution and none of these ended up working for me so i did a little research on my own

Use the console command:
"setstage c8675 30" (Except without the " " marks)

This command basically this skips the part of the quest where you have to clear an area and allows you to continue on through the quest like you actually did it

From the research i did this does not disable acheivments so everything is all good

I'm just posting this here so anyone that does have future game gliches with this quest doesn't have to go through the excruciating pain of hearing this kid repeat the same lines over and over

My problem is every time I walk towards the Squire to start the quest the game just crashes I don't have any mods
