Upgrading dress and normal clothes
So, i just figured out that i now have option to upgrade my normal clothes with balistic something, i assume it was introduced with this patch ? Also, this is pretty hilarious becouse now i can have 240 armor wearing only hat and dress, while my fully upgraded parts of normal armor give me only 120. Is my game bugged, or is this some kind of devs mistake ?

I thought I read there's a quest to enable ite, and it applies to some but not all clothes/outfits. There's a mod to make it applicable to more clothing and outfits up at the nexus though.

Not sure if it's update related or you just completed the quest recently to get the capability enabled.

You get the ability to upgrade (some) clothing from one of the Railroad quests.

I believe that the ballistic weave is a reward from a Railroad Sidequest. The ability to add armour to basic underclothes is one that I'll be pursuing once I start the RR questline.

It's a special perk of doing quests for the Railroad. You can get absolutely ridiculous DT by upgrading an undersuit then stacking more armor on top. Still not as much as Power Armor, but at least a few hundred depending on armorer skill.

k, that explaines much, still, that option is terrible unbalanced

Well considering you get a suit of power armor about an hour into the game its not really that unbalanced. Think of it as a way for players who don't like power armor to stay competitive with the enemies.

Still I wish they opened it up to all the clothing. Would love the option to upgrade things like Kellog's suit, which is equal to tier 1 Ballistic cloth. And it should be available to either all the 'under armor' clothing or none of them.

But you can upgrade many of the default outfits of your companions, which is a great way to keep their 'iconic' look. Or steal it for yourself. :)

There is a mod over at fallout 4 nexus that allows you to do precisely what you described. "More Ballistic Weave" or something.

I was more talking about disproportion beetwen amout of defence u can get from fully builded set of armor and this balistic thing. For example, i spend 8k caps to get chest armor piece in goodneighboor which gave me 40 defence fully upgraded, and now i can get 4times the amount of defence with almoust no effort. also, having hat which gives me 120 armor is pretty ridiculous.

I disagree with your argument about power armor because it was theoretically made to be something unique, which you are using for specific circustimates, and not on daily basis. (i say theoritically because i have about 40 fusion cores after 60h of playing and had to use it only twice so far)

I have another question, is there any mod that makes game harder ? Im already playing on hardest difficulty, and at this moment i have zero challenge.
