As everyone i guess i started with the minutemen faction then added brotherhool of steel and the railroad. The deeper i get into the game the less sense they start to make.
Especially with the 4th faction now recently discovered.

It just seems all of them are idiotic. And stuck in black and whith thinking. Except the minutemen who actually just want to help .

So i was wondering is there a point where choices have to be made or can you just keep questing for all of them?

And is there some big villan kindof thing in the end? Since i can now work with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ institute which as supposed to be the big evil thing.

Without spoiling anything, not until the very end. And even then, the choices that are made may seem unfulfilling and arbitrary.

As for your second point (again without spoiling it too much), not really. There is no Legate Lanius here, which may actually be a point in favor of FO4.

Ok so spoilers ahead.

Basically you have 4 options to choose.

Siding with the institute = killing the BoS and Rail Road
siding with the BoS = killing the rail road and the Institute
Siding with the Railroad = killing the institute and the BoS
Siding with the Minute men = killing the institute and optional to kill the BoS.

There is a quest for the institute called mass fusion, the same quest for the BoS is called spoils of war, is basically the last quest before you need to make a choice on who to permanently side with.

The game started to water down in my opinion after killing kellog. All sense of purpose are out of it. I got enough caps to pave the courtyard of castle with. And it has enough guns to be immune to attack with 140 defense rating. All other setlements are also properly equiped. I have kick ass weapons... And im bored ;p

for the institute, and rail road it does, for the BoS you have to kill the rail road because of hug ugh mgh mgh mgh, reasons, that's why, but its mostly because they want to help synth and they use gorilla tactics which are a pain the ass to deal with. The BoS even says they are not a threat, but they will cause enough problems they need to be dealt with.

As for minute men killing the BoS not sure why that happens, did not do their story.
