Cambridge police station bug

I get to cambridge police station and talk to paladin danse,he keeps saying "Check your fire we got hostiles"over and over again and there are no enemies around to shoot....please tell there's a fix for this I'm already really far in the game and I would have to load one of my earliest saves

Happened to me today. Kept reloading my save, but he kept telling me that. But I noticed something: the ghouls were never spawning too close to me. Considering a reddit post saying that some ghouls were spawning in the roof, I thought that I should try to be very close to the building, in case that ghouls were spawning in the roof. So, when I went there, I immediately ran to the door and stayed there while fighting the ghouls. And it worked. Problem fixed. Probably it wasn't random and it was fixed by this. Let me know if it worked.

No doesn't work. I stood in the doorway and didn't move till all the ghouls were dead but still get the 'check your fire we got hostiles' from Danse. I also don't want to go back 10 hours to a previous save.

Maybe you didn't get at the doorway fast enough or did you approach the building previously? You could also try checking the roof somehow.

How do you get on to the roof? I can't find anyway to get up there.

I don't know, that's why I told you to go there "somehow". Maybe you could use cheats to move through the walls or teleport on the roof.

I have a similar problem. But this is for xbox one and so I can't do console commands. We fought off the gouls successfully but Danse ended up on the roof waiting for me to talk to him. I left, came back, fast traveled away, slept, turned the game off completely and he's still up there. So I use Jet to jump onto the roofs next to the roof and I get to him anyway. So I talk to him but when I agree to help his cause its says "this individual is busy" indefinitely and he just stays on the roof. I know this forum is for PC problems mainly but I still wanted to throw this bug out here in case someone fins a solution. I play on PC too but didnt have the problem on that play-through. Also, I wanted to say its possible to get on the roof but that doesn't even fix the bug.

If side structures allow this use a Jet Pack Power Armor and fly up there. I have hopped from Awnings to window sills and pipes to get to some roof tops.

Have you tried going thru the building and NOT talking to Paladin Danse?
Sometimes by going thru [Cut Scean] doors and elevators it will free lodged NPCs so they finnaly appear [repeat tries may be needed that is why I suggest going through the entire building befor conversations.

where do you type this ? when game is running ,before ,whilse your ingame ? I am not tech savvy thanks for your help I am stuck here as well

Use of console commands does not disable achievements.
