local leader worthless?
whats the use of this perk? my original charisma was 3 so i wasted 3 perks getting it to 6 and then wasted 2 more with the useless perks. tier 1 allows me to share resources between towns which would be usefulll if you side with the minutemen and tier 2 allows me to place shops which cost me my fortune and then still overcharge me and give me no sort of usefull revenue. why should you even bother gething either of these 2 perks?

Apparently OP feels that's pointless.

Oh it's totally worthless.

Yup. Me being about to make a trade route with my supplies so I can manage my settlements without moving all across the map? Totes worthless.

I hurt myself saying that.

From what I've seen in earlier posts the supply lines can be tedious and aren't as useful as they should be BUT they do help. The shops apparently bring in a lot of revenue, but I can't personally speak for either as I haven't bothered with them in detail yet.

more charisma also helps at every barter you do, you can have more people in your settlements (10 + Charisma) and you *might* try to persuade you way through a situation instead of shooting all the time.
then why did you get it?

what is the benefit of it? other then having supplies at new towns. i finished the game on my first playthrough at leven 26, that means after level 1 i got 25 perks to spend, i spend 5 on stuff that didnt even matter. why would it have such a high tier requirement
shatteredfriend7 Nov 23, 2015 @ 7:43am
the shops give you a revenue source based off of your town pop. so it isnt worthless. im currently running around with 10000+ caps at any give time because of these shops and selling all my weapons i loot

you cant recruit any of the level 4 settlers without the max level shops. this means 2 points in the credit perk and 2 in the leader perk. lvl 4 settlers sell legendary gear. i hear the weapons one sells a legendary gauss

It's very useful. I put all of my supplies in 1 town, set up a trade route from it. Now every single settlement has access to my thousands upon thousands of items for building. It should be a semi high tier not low it's very useful if you are into building. If you dont care about settlement stuff at all dont get it.

The second rank of the perk lets you build workbenches and power armor stands. Imagine you accidentally scrapped your power armor stand without the perk. You would need to fast travel somewhere else to fix your armor, and bring all the materials you need with you.

Define "finished the game".

Yeah but having more than 6 charisma is worthless as you can simply change into charisma gear during conversation I always keep my +4 charisma clothing on me. I have 6 cha and I pass every single red check first attempt.

And don't forget being able to build crafting stations. Who would want to do that right? Absolutely pointless.

over time this is rewarding.
