ALERT BUG! The Disappearing Act

Do not do anything with this quest. You pick it up in Nick's office. You have 2 options, to get a key from the next door bar tender, or pick the lock. Either way, the game registers you as breaking in. I was unable to find the clue inside, but upon exiting all the security attacked me. My save before entering was corrupted as well making everyone attack me unless I went back HOURS.

Keep several save games going, not just quick save. Fix this Bethesda, we expect better.

Did you try talking to the doctor who cures rads and hp ? DR.Sun I think

I can't. The quest had an optional, get key, or primary get in the house. The fact that I quick saved before entering in any case, and that, that quick save now labels me an enemy of diamond city is game breaking.

Oh sorry.. It's his house.. I don't remember it showing trespassing for me.. Go with Nick

I did go with Piper, not Nick. Still, this is game breaking since it corrupted a save file from BEFORE I entered.

Yeah, I'm having difficulties with this quest breaking stuff in my game as well. I had Vadim Bobrov, the guy I believe you're supposed to get the key from, just outright vanish. I can spawn a version of him to me, but when I try to talk to him, he just stares glumly at me. Doc Crocker also disappeared, but he'll at least say stuff when I spawn him in (though I can't talk to him at all). Yes, I had Nick with me, and no, I've not used console commands to any great extent before this quest.
