If its a wireless mouse it could be a sign of a low battery.
Yes. I'm holding the button but it just drops out of scope mode. Really annoying. I don't think it's my mouse because this didn't happen for the first 10 levels or more of the game and it still only happens in certain places in the game but who knows.
Not having any issue with my mouse elsewhere. G600 logitech.
It doesn't always occur but when it does, it happens in spasms.
1. Reset mouse settings in Windows to default and test.
2. Reset game to default settings and test.
3. If you have mouse software installed, back up settings (if possible) and set to default and test.
3a. Uninstall any mouse software and test.
3b. Install latest mouse software and test.
4. Follow online guide to disable mouse accelleration in FO4. May even try this as step 1.
That's a few suggestions aside from what others suggested (check batteries, disconnect unused items, etc etc)
Happens to me too, but only with mouse. 360 controller is fine... Doesn't happen on my laptop though. Differences in specs are obviously large, but laptop is an Nivida, desktop is AMD, both with latest drivers.
EDIT: Just plugged in a random cheap wireless mouse and problem is gone. Maybe my wired mouse is on it's last legs. The wireless mose is more sensitive in game too.
Observe if/how your iron sights cease to "flicker".
If the flickering does arrest, then congrats: you now know that your mouse's contacts are failing and are in need of repair/replacement.
