Game is too picky about fence placement
Who cares if it's clipping that tree or a portion of the other fence piece, just let me put it where I want ffs.

You can't even build a perfect square with a door.

Specific portion to your issue:

To help place objects in hard places use a small rug then place the object on the rug, pick up the rug and the item will remain attached but the game uses the rugs collision detection.(This allows you to clip objects into walls!)

In the console, type tcl, this will disable clipping of objects, you can then place them a lot easier. Each item that you select when tcl is on, will remove it's clipping temporarily, so you can then place that fence where you want.

The whole *snap together* and *collision detected* (when it's a red outline) has to be removed.

Edit: AND add in the ability to manipulate the Z-axis.

It's in the guide I posted there, you can move objects up and down in the guide thing.

Good stuff. I can't believe I didn't figure out how to move an object up and down. Also didn't know you can use dogmeat with lone wanderer. Too bad you can't sleep with him for the companion bonus though. It's the only reason I keep piper around.

The objects become red when I grab them in tcl
