The first step quest bug

Hi all
I just finished killing all the Raiders in the Corvega Assembly Plant, but the quest isnt showing as finished. I have definitely cleaned the place out, both outside and in. Please help
Also I think it may be something to do with the fact i didnt click on the quest in the pip boy... Suggestions?

So when you walk in; go around that large chunk of rubble in the front area and hang left until you see the white elevator doors and you want to get on...Unless you have already. That was a major issue for me when I first started because I just didn't notice the elevator.

If you've already gotten on the Elevator and killed the quest target then it may be a bug.

Yeah no problem man; when a quest says to 'clear out' a area, there is generally just one enemy you need to kill to advance/complete it. Unfortunately, this is the hardest one I've come across because of that dumb elevator.

I have a different problem with this quest hope somebody can help :) I killed the dude then got the confirm that I cleared the area but when I try to talk at the settler at Tenpines Bluff she will just say the generic phrases as if I still didn't kill the raiders thus can't finish the quest, I also killed the raiders at Walden's pond to no avail.

Are you sure you're talking to the right settler?

if people are still having issues with this quest and keep getting stuck at the stage when reporting to the settler doesn't advance to reporting to Preston use the console and type "setstage 0011b36e 450" without the "" and it should force it to advance to the last stage so you can complete the quest.
