Any reason not to wear power armor at all times?
If you do a decent amount of looking along your stay in the wasteland youll be sure to find around 25ish cores by your 18th hour of play. Thats where i found myself and realized there was almost no reason for me not to wear my power armor all the time. Im not sure how i feel about this because i like customizing my character and all but if there is no point than im kind of conflicted. so, is there any reason not to always wear power armor if you have the cores for it?

If you're kitted out in legendary gear you lose all those bonuses when you hop into power armor. I'm playing on Survival difficulty and I'd rather dish out crazy damage than have the extra defense and be clunky.

If you play a sneaky sneak sneaker char, a lighter armor is probably a better choice.. other than that there are some things you can't do in power armor (like using craft stations)

I hate using power armor. I'm only using more often now that I'm Level 45 (and only in the beggining of main quests, lol).

Reasons not to use power armor:

- Agility
- Stealth
- Low Profile
- Claustrophobia (mainly due to the HUD and the effects when it rains)
- Preference for the looks of non-power armor sets
- etc

Power armor is terrible for stealth play, and it slows me down.

I myself don't use it unless I know it's gonna be a tough fight. I usually go for long distance/stealth no power armour.

i actually hate heavy armors in most RPGs, and power armor is no exception.

i prefer to be fabulous than look like a tank.

power armor can be upgraded to have invisibility. and also multiple ways of increasing agility with it and charisma

the main downside is that the armor becomes damaged, and is expensive to keep fully repaired if you use it a lot

you also cant swim in it, which has caused me some problems before

In fantasy RPGs I always prefer heavy armors, but for some reason when guns get thrown into the mix I always prefer light armors. Right now I wear a studded sturdy leather set (4/5 items are legendary), I only wear power armor when clearing out big buildings/ruins.

I do like to use it on the BoS missions that involve digging out super mutants/ghouls out of their bases though.

And makes it harder to get laid!

Being a walking bullet magnet is the best way to play the game. Sneak like every other Bethesda game is far to easy.

YOU KILLED ELDER MAXSON D:

Along with everyone on the Prydwen...BEFORE I blew it up!

Though I did feel kinda bad, so I took all their dog tags to remember them. But getting the best armor of the game is worth any amount of murder.

I honestly could play for hours just doing that
There are rare metal leggings that allow you to do this without the power armor.

I only use it when I go exploring the glowing sea cos it kinda makes sense ( I made a 2nd set for my companion too )

So that's what happens if you side with the institute....

I was saving that for tomorrow :(

I didn't side with the Institute though. I went with Railroad.
