Is there a good way to get a steady supply of Minuteman outfits?

Obviously without killing Minutemen that is. I'd like to equip my settlement guards with them but since they're apparently super rare that's a bit of a challenge.

I haven't tried this, when they come to assist you (you know, when you use your flare), can you trade with them?

If so, then if you equip them with another outfit, the uniform will become swappable; at least, that's how it works with companions.

This is an excellent idea. Hope it works. Will try it out.

I have actually yet to call in minuteman support via flare yet (the one time I tried the radio guy told me nobody was available to help), so I have no idea. It turns out that settlement clothing traders sell the outfits and hats though so as long as they restock regularly I think I'm set.

this is what i do, they seem to be for sale quite a lot.
