Only one major settlement?
I've been playing for a solid 60+ hours and after beating the story I was left with the realization how lonely the game has become. What I loved about Skyrim is that is was filled with life and tons of major cities or towns rich with sidequests, but here I feel after the stroy and the few side quests in Diamond City the game is simpley just dungeon hunting. Which for the most part gets kinda repetitive and bland.

a dollar an hour is a good ratio imo

A consequence of the build a settlement feature. Bethesda doesn't add things to games. For every new thing, something old must go.

No it is I enjoyed it, I'm a die hard fallout fan but I'm kinda disappointed there wasn't more then one major settlement. I mean FO3 had Megaton, Tenpenny Tower, Underworld, Rivet City, Big Town, and the Citadel giving so much rich life and side quests to do.

Sadly that seems to be the new thing they focused so much on it they forgot what brought life to the wasteland, the people and the many unique settlements. Building your own is fun at first but gets more of a chore later on.

In a pretty much anarchist nuclear wasteland, is it so hard to believe that people get concentrated to a few main places (Diamond City for most, Goodneighbour for the rest)? It's not like there's ideal to set up multiple small communities all-over with an eternally looming threat from Institute, raiders and Super Mutants, as well as a constant shortage of clean water?

That said, I kinda agree that just Diamond City and Goodneighbour is a bit cheap - they should at least be a bit bigger than they are.

Fallout 4 is about building up small settlements than having big cities.

Sadly that's the route they have seemed to take which kinda gets boring and takes away the life.

skyrim had cities full of life? Wat

Considering how deadly the Commonwealth is, I can see why there are only a few settlements. Diamond City, Goodneighbor, Vault 81, and Covenant all have one thing in common: They're all heavily fortified, easily defended locations.

The problem is settlement dont give anything important and change anything in the game plot.

I have 1 big settlement with traders and stuff and my second if my personal house. Where I am alone.

Waste of time if you want to build settlement in each spot, I would rather decorate my house than this.

Aren't you able to live in The Institute if you pick the Institute ending? That would make for a damn awesome settlement. At least you'd have your own room there?

Yeah, settlements are meaningless and unrewarding. They feel tacked on, but hopefully the workshop or DLC will expand them.
Agreed. Took me forever to get the Benevolent Leader achievement and the 16 shops I had to build don't seem to make anything for me?

Ha HA HA. You haven't played the game long enough to conclude that. If you think Diamond City is the only city you sure as 7734 are clueless. LMAOAY

I said major settlement, I know of vault 81, Good Neighbor, The Covenent, etc. But that is nothing in comparison to NV and FO3 had in the sense of major settlements, and yes I can conclude Diamond City is the only major settlement. Now please remove yourself from here troll
