Console Commands
I heard on the Giant Bombcast that you can input console commands to give you unlimited encumbrance. I am new to console commands, is there a place that has all the inputs to do this? I know you hit the tilda key and it comes up, but not sure what to put in.

Also do you have to enter the commands in every time you play or is it permanent?

Press the ~ key, and input your commands that way. You should not have to do it more than once

player.setav carryweight 99999 is also the code you'll be wanting

Here's a guide to most Fallout 4 console commands.
player.setav carryweight [insert number]
is the command you want.

To answer your second question, it depends what you're doing with a console command. If you modify your level, for example, and then save the game, it will be permanent. You can change most things back though, using console commands again.

Theres quite a lot of stuff that you can alter with console commands...

player.setav (skillname) (amount) Lets you alter the stats for specials, carry weight, speed multypliers and more

spawn (ID code) simply lets you spawn any item/enemy/npc in game right next to you

try spawn 0017e707 just to make sure it works :)

coc (name) lets you teleport to certain locations of your choosing at will

player.additem (ID code) (amount) lets you spawn a certain amount of items in your inventory

player.additem 001bf72e 9000 will spawn 9000 adhesive into your backpacks...

theres quite a lot more of commands, and i suggest looking on the wiki for more information and walkthroughs :)

Thanks guys, I just wanted two other console commands that I can't find on any of those guides...

I wanted to unlock all locks and can I spawn rad away items or become immune to radiation?
LHR_Olorin Nov 20, 2015 @ 11:52pm
You'd have to individually unlock containers with the unlock command as far as I'm aware. For radiation, you can just get the Ghoulish perk.
Mister Shan Nov 20, 2015 @ 11:56pm
do you know what those commands are?
claymore Nov 20, 2015 @ 11:59pm
though cool, some commands can break game
LHR_Olorin Nov 20, 2015 @ 11:59pm
Simply click on a locked container while in the console and use 'unlock'. For ghoulish, it'd be either player.addperk Ghoulish or player.addperk ghoulish. Idk if it's all lower case

Instead of using player.setav, use player.modav

If you use setav, everytime your strength changes, or enter and exit power armor, you will have to input the command again.

i can't seem to get the Ghoulish perk to add. I tried both player.setav and player.modav...also on the fallout 4 wiki it said to use player.addperk to add perks, but that didn't work either. Anyone have an idea what the problem is? It said somewhere in the wiki that you need to add the ranks too, so would it be Ghoulish 1 first? Or just Ghoulish?
LHR_Olorin Nov 21, 2015 @ 12:56am
Okay, I found the issue. You don't use player.modav to change perk level, you use that for SPECIAL stats. Using player.modav Strength 1 will increase your strength stat by 1. This however does not allow you to normally access the perks in that tree, it's sort of counted as a +bonus. To unlock the perks of that tree, use player.setav
To unlock the perks, you don't use the name, you use the base ID, which can be found here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_perks

As you can see, for each level of the perk there is a different ID, but when entered into the console, it says it increases it by 1 level, but the perk chart showed it at the level I entered. I'm not quite sure which is the case yet.

Okay, as for the specifics of the perk command. I ran a test, and you MUST start by using the ID for the first rank of the perk, and if you want it higher, use the command ID for the next level, DON'T use the same one multiple times or the perk won't have an effect.
