Bug with Handcock and Bobbi

After doing the dig quest with bobbi no nose, I decided to kill fahrenheit (sp?) and steal the loot from hancock's warehouse. When confronted by hancock, he told me to go kill bobbi no nose in her hideout for revenge. I went to her hideout and told her I wasn't going to kill her, to which she said she was going to run away from Boston. I then went back and told hancock I wouldnt kill her. He then still tried to become a companion, and I denied him. Only problem is, now he won't talk to me whatsoever. And I need to talk to him for the Silver Shroud quest, but all he says when I click on him is: Isn't there supposed to be a ghoul you need to talk to on my behalf? talking about bobbi no nose, which I have no idea where she is now. What do I do? Can I not progress in the Silver Shroud quest now?

If you still have the option for him to be a companion, take it then talk to him as a companion. Things should resolve then.
