Can Valentine hack terminals?

Can't figure out how to make him hacking terminals for me.

Press e on him, then press e on the terminal. I suggest not doing it unless it is higher level than you are, or unless you don't care about what it does. Because with each level of difficulty he can fail and be locked out of a terminal

It doesn't work for me, if I try this it says my hacking level isn't high ennough.

anyone got any ideas?

You have to be not too near to the terminal, otherwise the game think you want to open it by yourself
