I checked some older saves. Unfortunately there is quite a gap...
Last save where I can get relationship conversation is at quest The glowing sea, where I need to find Virgil. She has 691.93 affinity.
Next save is at quest The molecular level where I have to find help to build that device. She has 1014.23 affinity and the conversation is bugged.
I remember that she got max level at Railroad after I finished scanning that synth teleportation chip (forgot what it was called). Then I got the romance option and skipped it.
I could theoretically go back to that save and re-run it. Had some regrets after finished main story anyway. The bad thing is that Fallout isn't really a linear game. Lot of stuff has been done since and now that I finished the main story.
I would prefer a fix.
One fix could be to rerun from last unbuged save. But if saves are too far back, it can be pain...
Guess I personally will rerun from unbuged point and try to not fck it up this time. I had some other bugs/glitches anyway, that I know to not cause.
I would prefer if game didn't have bugs, but we have to understand that this Fallout is amazingly HUGE. And from my own expierience with simple game development I can tell that even primitive game can get bugs. Hard to imagine something on this scale.
I will rerun it and will see. May be I find the point where the bug is caused.
have to remove affinity for it to go away, but once she hit 1100 again same bug
Haven't had the romance conversion again though.... =/
I fixed it by going back in saves and re-doing my game from there. Then I made sure I don't mess it up.
I was hoping for some way to fully reset the companion. Haven't found any cosole comand yet, except the affinity manipulation.
I guess there are some interractions between other NPCs and companion, that affects it.
I got the option days ago.... and I'be done alot since, so no option for me then....
Maybe the bug is fixed in the beta patch we can get?
I hope. Looks like a lot of peoples are getting this. Or some other variation of that bug. My non-expert opinion is, that it shouldn't be too hard to bug-fix. Lets hope it is not entangled too had in other conversations or something, like a cancer that can't be cut out.
Yeh. I'm sure where is probabaly a consolecommand that could fix it XD, but no-one knoes about it yet.
Even so, its a bug Bethesda should fix with ease
NOTE: Type all commands WITHOUT the " Quotation marks.
1st: Type "getav ca_affinity" after clicking on curie while in console. In my case, she was maxed at 1100.
2nd: Type "getav CA_WantsToTalkRomanceRetry" while still having curie selected. In my case, this was read as 0.00 (This means false, this seems to be the problem, a very minor bug)
3rd: Try asking her about "Relationship". If she does not respond after you say something, this is what I had.
How I fixed MY issue (your results may vary).
1) Click Curie in console mode.
2) Type "setav CA_WantsToTalkRomanceRetry 1"
Talk to her. This fixed it for me.
Cool, I'll give this ago later, and let you know =3
I can confirm that I had exactly the same. 1100, 0.00 and setting it to 1
Did the command and talked to her and got the dialog I haven't had before.
Thank you =3
