Secret of Cabot House bug, im stuck!

I am stuck in the basement of the Asylum. I need Jack to open a door that requires a key but he just sits on the ground and will allow me to talk to him. I tried nudging him with a melee hits but then he just turns red, stands up and attacks me. Unfortunately i cant go back upstairs so Im stuck.

I fixed this by knifing him a few times and then knifing stuff around him. He got up so I am still not sure what happened.

This exact thing happened to me, so I tried your advice by smacking him with a power fist, and it fixed it! So thanks.

None of that helped me. He just keeps checking that stupid quest marker on the gay floor. This game is broken.

i found this solution:
"When you reach Jacks office and edward is just a marker, Jack will freeze kneeing at it. Open Console and enter "prid 47ec1" after that "moveto player". Edward appears besides the player and Jack starts the dialog."

✪Beaguhl thanks man you saved my quest :) this is an issuse. Edward should be in this room but somehow he is not. Just teleport Edward in front of Jack

I had this issue too. You how it fixed? WHEN I WAS SEARCHING FOR THE FIX! lmao Jack just walked inside after 15 minutes like nothing happened

I found an easier fix. Just pickpocket him and get caught, and then put away your weapon. There’s a chance he’ll forgive you and he’ll be standing up again. Worked for me.
