Can't Accept a quest.

Hello, So I've noticed a lot of people seem to have issues with the Public Knowledge quest. Basically they have an issue where they can't finish the quest after killing the super mutants and returning the book, I am having an issue where it wont even accept the quest.

I've done all the speech I can, I've done the persuasion side of it as well and after "accepting" the quest, it will linger, not accept and I can repeat the issue.

Same problem here maybe there's a way to manually add a quest to the pipboy? Or did you fix it already?

I'm certain there are some console commands too do so, they don't deactivate achievements either now. Had to unfortunately use them due to a bug involving a console and size issues.

I personally just ignored the quest and forgot until now. Will wait for a patch

I just ran into this same bug with Daisy. I do all the dialogue to accept the quest, but it never shows up in my quest journal. When I talk to her again about looking for work, she asks if I've changed my mind about clearing out the library.

Anyone find a work around or cause for this bug yet?

I was finally able to accept the Public Knowledge quest from Daisy. Apparently, you need to visit the library and trigger an event before you can accept her quest to clear the library.

What event?

I've been in the library there are just dead super mutants and the intercom doesn't work properly

I believe the supermutants are supposed to come in and attack protectrons... Well I must have missed it because i never went in the library and they had already attacked and died.

It's Fixed. For anyone that encounters this bug. You have to go to the library and get the key to the supply cupboard and enter it. If that doesn't work. I Killed everything that moved within 100m of the library (including the subway underneath the library...... then used the key to the store cupboard.

Then Super Mutants should raid the library in an untimely and buggy fashion. Kill them all. The tanoy will tell you if they are all dead.

Go back to Daisy. The only dialogue you can get will be that you already killed the super mutants. The Quest still doesn't show up in my Pipboy but atleast she isn't all bugged out and the library intercom now works as normal. She then gave me the book ( i know, F*d up right) and said if i'm passing through hand it in. Haven't tried yet but hopefully she provides some kind of closure to my suffering.
