Bethesda put in the option for relations with every companion "regardless of gender".

Why does this seem weird ? If they give you the option to flirt, it's normal to be able to flirt with any gender. They even allow to flirt with non-humans... And you're just chocked by the fact that homosexuality is allowed when you actually can flirt with robots and monsters.
