Why does Alt+Tab ALWAYS do wierd things in Bethesda Games?
I'm asking legitimately, because I've fonud a common trend nowadays, is that the devs seem to not even think that Alt+Tabbing isn't an extremely wide-spread thing that likely 3/4ths of all PC users do.
This game's reaction to it seems to be the absolute worst out of all of them. In other games, the game would require to be windowed to work properly, like with Fallout 3, Skyrim, after two consecutive Alt-Tabs causes the windows cursor to appear permanently until a restart, which obliterates immersion, and looks awful in general...

And then there's this game. What happens? Well you can painlessly, easily reproduce it, but what happens is that the game cuts the resolution in half, but doesn't resize the window accordingly EVERY TIME you Alt-Tab and are able to get back in-game.
After only two, the game window is so small, I could cover it with two fingers, while my default resolution is 1360x768. Cut that in half, then cut that in half again, it's ridiculously small.

Could this game pretty please break the cycle on Bethesda's apparent lack of caring for fixing what is quite a large quality of life problem? Just saying. Alt-Tab bugs have always been a problem in past games, and they're gone completely unnoticed and unfixed.

Sure, I could play in Windowed Fullscreen, but that takes up more resources that I just don't have.

as long as the game runs fine in borderless windowed then use it with that... no game I've ever played is optimized for alt tab, it always refreshes/breaks things. in football manager it would outright crash!

I've had more success with alt+tab in Fallout 4 than any previous Bethesda title. It used to be completely out of the question because I would have to close the game 100% of the time. Now I have issues alt tabbing only if I do it during loading screens. Every other time is seamless.

Although yes, you are right. Bethesda is weird about it.
