Skip intro sequence / Tutorial? (Solved?)
Solution:
Like most have said in the replies, just going through the intro and saving right before the elevator to exit the Vault (with the name "New Game" or something as an option to make it more clear what that save file is) and then just loading that file when you want to start a new game. Once you change your character's name on the elevator out of the Vault, the new saves will be located under a different character slot in the load menu.

Old:
Is there a way to skip the intro sequence? I thought Fallout 3 and New Vegas were bad, but this one has you literally walking around sitting and waiting for timed intervals, there's not much you can do to speed up the process and on top of that there's just not much to do while you wait (the second time through and so forth, the first time through it makes sense).

Is there any way to safely skip this? has anyone seen a mod that does this? Or willing to do this? I can't find anything about it.

Or am I missing the fact that there is a way to skip it without console command / mods? I've started a couple new characters and the intro / tutorial period is waaaay too tedious.

There is a mod/program on nexus that can skip the intro video. You still have to wait though for the game to load up.

I'm not talking about the intro video, I'm talking about the intro sequence when creating a new character. And yes, I forgot to mention my reasoning against the "save before you exit" fix, they have a new feature where your saves are organized by characters now, so you don't mix them up, you can switch between characters in a sense and it will only show those saves. So if I used this "fix", it would have all my characters in one "character slot" type thing. Is there a way to work around this? Can I do the save before the exit, and then move that specific save to a seperate character slot? I'd rather do the sequence and have the saves organized than have a bunch of characters cluttured, if you understand my reasoning.

That sucks. I should have read further down the forum and realized what that did. I unlocked all achievements. Not that I care that much, but fun sometimes to get the surprise.

This is what I get for typing in every console command I see... I knew one day It'd bite me in the ass. Oh well! Lol should have read further. That's actually hilarious!

Create a new character that you name "new male" or "new female" (up to you what you call it) and play until you get to the vault exit. Proceed to save the game and delete the previous saves for this character.

When you want to play a new character, chose this save, step on the platform and change your specials and face as you wish, and change the name. When changing the name, it creates a new save-slot as if you made a new character, and the "new (fe)male" save remains to be re-used.

I've been using this since I got the game, should work for you too.

^Yeah, I figured that out after some time. That is the best method that I can see so far.
