Same here. I bought it just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles because I was lucky and they had just announced it at Best Buy. After seeing how gigantic it is I would not even wear it for fun or to a convention. I'm leaning towards getting a copy from Gaming Dragons for $42 and change but I'm not sure when I would get the key.
Which you won't get until the box arrives.
Several days after the game releases.
Which defeats any point of pre-ordering.
Sometimes they also e-mail the key at the same time as posting the box. On the day of release. Not helpful in this particular situation though...
It is wayyyyyyyyy faster than downloading the entire game using your internet, even with an amazing internet connection.
So no, you won't get any pre-load...since you don't need it.
What exactly does that mean? Am I missing something here?
I haven't used a disc since Skyrim in 2011...
But as far as I'm concerned, all the information IS on the disc. You still need a Steam Key to confirm you own the game, but by far, most of the information is on the disc. Some download from the Steam server might be required, but not much.
FO4 is coming on a DVD. Max 4GB data. FO4 is about 30GB. One minus the other...
Not accurate. If you pre order physical games on Amazon, you'll get it the exact day the official game is released. When I pre order games on there I've always got my game on release date. And every game always releases on Tuesday, and I work on Tuesday, and I get the package in the mail at around 3PM (2 hours before I'm off work). So it's not that bad... The only real difference is if the game is under 50GB I can download it all night and day while I'm at work so I can get home and go straight to the decrypting of the game, or if I get the physical then I have to wait to install it off the disc.
.......But when it came to decrypting Mad Max when it finally came out it took around an hour to decrypt... so... In all truthful honesty I bet installing from the disc is faster than the hour wait in decrypting files.
Really, wow.
I guess its been a long time since I used discs. I always thought they were more efficient.
So what is the point in even buying a disc version now? Wtf.
Can't they just include 8 DVDS? lol
On the consoles they're on BluRay... Not on PC...
Discs are great for people who live in rural areas where internet isn't great.. For instance, I live in Illinois and in the town I live in has internet although it's utter crap. But when I go out to Wyoming (more sparsly populated), they have NO internet in the area that I stay at out there except for the phone data plan. If you get a like 30GB data plan on your phone and use a hotspot, it's over 300 dollars pretty much.
