A pipe pistol can only use mods for pipe pistols.
If you mean the replacer mods that change the skin or textures or what have you, then no. You are limited to one replacer texture/mesh at a time without a mod manager of some kind. With a mod manager, I'd imagine you could toggle the replacer to something else while the game IS NOT running, but again, replacer mods affect all in-game copies of the weapon, armor or other asset you're targeting.
Now, if you have three mods -- two replacers, and a mod that simply duplicates the asset in question (your pipe weapon, for example) -- it's doable, but still needs patching which can be a pain to those fresh to modding. (You'd need to tell one of the replacers to point to the duplicate pipe gun instead of the vanilla one, because "form IDs" for each duplicate are their own item, and don't reference their parent source. Generally far more headache than it's worth.)
1. the mod with new weapon
2. the mod wich replace the Vanilla weapon
this is the only simple thing about creating replacements for Vanilla weapons. Im trying to create replacements for each Vanilla weapons, with weapons-mods from Nexus choosed by me, its not easy as it seems... as already mentioned in the previous comments, theres also the issue of Ammo and the Leveled List
furthermore there are unique weapons to be modified individually
so, for every Weapon, Weapon unique, Weapon Leggendary, is needed edit the .esp of the mod (replacement) for Weapon, Ammo, LL
this is why Bethesda modding tools is not really for make the modders life easy... and the great xEdit cannot change this
the real question is: why you dont unsubscribe from thread you wont follow anymore?
but also another question: why Steam dont add a page for manage all Forums-subscriptions?
there are many mysteries in this world, and many will never be revealed
That is an amazing idea, I would really like that.
