It's not necessarily cheaper. The Pip Boy Ed. is hard as f*ck to get, unless you got $400 in your pocket and want to risk getting it of eBay. But if I understand your post right, why would you want to pay, assuming, $119.99 for the Pip Boy (regardless of version) and then preorder the game at $59.99? You do realize how much you're willing to spend?

To answer your question, if I'm understanding you correctly, you can use anything in the Pip Boy edition for the console as it has no difference whatsoever in the PC edition. Aside from certain mechanics, the games are vertually the same.

Ah, IC. Yeah, $320 for the PS4 *would* be cheaper. Up to you if you want to do it. I have reservations about eBay and spending that much.
