I don't know what it cost to make, but at $60 a pop (not even counting exclusive console sales, limited editions, merchandise, etc.), they made well over $720,000,000 in the first day alone... Yeah, wrap your head around that...

I don't know about marketing, but I think Fallout 4's development cost would have been lower than Skyrim's. This is simply due to the fact that a brand new engine was created for Skyrim whereas Fallout 4 uses a slightly updated version of the same engine. Also Bethesda is not as big as other developpers, with only about 300 hundred employees working on Fallout 4, compared to the 1000 who worked on GTA V, not even including the massive contract works issued for that game, so development costs for a Bethesda game is much lower.
I would roughly estimate 20-50M for development.

GTA 5 cost $270 million so i'd reckon Fallout 4 cost somewhere between $250-$300 million

Don't think it's comparable to GTA5 given the GTA dev team was 10 times the size (there or thereabouts).

I'd expect it would be more like Skyrim plus a bit, maybe 100-150mill.
