Anyways, this. If your having to turn Resolution down to anything lower than what's stated, asked, displayed then something doesn't jive.
The Reddit post asks specifically about 2560 x 1440 Resolution. OP(original poster) is posting Fallout 4 screenshots at 2880 x 1800((HD plus). And wants to run it at 1900 x 1200(HD minus at this point) typo?
I'm stuck(dunwurryillsurvive) with the sub 6k@ "1080"(sweet spot) ultra wide screen resolution.
The HD pack showed no change with NG update, that i noticed.
The texture pack everyone bashes never seems to accompany a viable blood sa... ...screenshot of proper in-game captures of that experience.
The fabled HD Texture Pack no one seems to have captured :( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3186587854 5760 x 1080
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3186586506 5760 x 1080 <-- deliberately picked jaggie ridden screenshots area
Feel free to mock the passion about jaggies.. it's all about the jaggies right? or it's maybe just me :)
If you want 1440 then the HD pack might not be for your Resolution... maybe someone should take the time to explain bit's like this(aka its gonna stretch)... I've searched for comparisons of Res vs textures vs whatever and I'm done with it, even the HD pack Store page shows rehashed captures from base game, release 2 yrs later iirc...
If i had an alternative that doesn't turn out to be a jaggie mess and gives zero impact(looking at you MOD Notes) i might even try 2k 4k MOD :shrugs:
_/\/\/\/\/\/\//\_ <---ropey nasty things as seen in many a HD+ MOD description page.
So yes there is an improvement, that also doesn't deteriorate the Wider the resolution you go.
This old chestnut of a topic is always so one sided sometime, us HD pack users gotta push back eh bois :D
TLDR: suck it an see. If it works for you.
A reminder:
