mission home sweet home DLC nuka world
I was playing the nuka world DLC for the first time but I'm stuck on the home sweet home quest. The quest asks me to bring the happiness of a raider camp to 100%. I've built everything but I can't get to 100/100 because the raiders can't farm (so they don't have food). Is it an essential nukaworld quest or can I skip it?
help me please 🥺

Raiders can farm, they just don't like to do so (happiness penalty). Food is usually supplied through having raider vassal settlements. Though just like with normal settlements, you can supply food (and water) just by dumping food/water into the settlements storage yourself.

I tried to put food in the bench but happiness does not increase, it remains fixed at 92% and this thing is frustrating. I should have a vassal who supplies the camp not happiness does not increase

raider camps have basically the same needs as settlements.. except they prefer to be spoon fed.

doesn't matter if they get food from a vassall or from a lesser camp.

build shops, bars, the occasional weight bench... enough defense and water... a booze still, chem station, buy a dog.. what ever..

and make sure all beds are roofed...

Remember that meeting all basic needs will only get you to 80%. All the rest has to come from happiness-boosting items, and the total boost is divided across the population, so the more raiders you have at an outpost, the more happiness items you'll need.

If you've also got the Vault-Tec Workshop DLC, you can just spam-construct a bunch of weight benches or pommel horses from the miscellaneous section of the furniture tab to generate enough happiness. Their boost is small (just 2 points), but they're easy to build since they only need 3 steel and don't require power or an assigned NPC.

You will need to complete Home Sweet Home one way or another to move on to the next quest in the raider storyline ("Power Play").

I have another question, after I finish all the main raider missions in Nuka World can I kill all the raiders? Do I lose all bonuses if I kill bosses?
I have attempted this quest only once in all my play through's, and I absolutely hated it. I got as far as taking over the first of my own settlements, and just ended that particular run right there and started a new game.

I MIGHT one day start a new game, make some settlements and go to Nuka before rescuing Preston from the museum, if only to get the achievement.

If you've already finished the raider questlne, the main thing you'll lose is the ability to build new raider objects at settlements/outposts. You'll still be able to use any settlement objects that already exist (after reclaiming outposts as regular settlements), but not build new ones or (if I remember correctly) place those items from storage.

Plus the obvious stuff, like not being able to do raider missions, and Gage turning hostile.

You'll keep perks (even Gage's companion perk if you've earned it), except for Wasteland Warlord, which you get automatically based on the number of raider outposts you control. You'll still be able to buy from Nuka World vendors and so on.

Watch out with the settlement objects if you've built any raider tribute chests (available with 8 outposts), because NPCs will try to grab weapons from them during combat and crash the game. Before you turn against the raider gangs, make sure that all your tribute chests are out of easy reach.
