The degree of choices on how you want to play, a huge game world to explore and tons of side quests, companions, interaction with them. Settlement building and the freedom in how you want to build them.
I really do not have the time to point out all the positives about FO4. And overall, the game has been very stable, with rare crashes and plays smooth with most things set to ultra.
I am on my 7th play run. Most of those on Very Hard level. The current run is on Survival. No mods.
Fallout 4 is a good game / decent game just NOT A GOOD FALLOUT GAME
also since 76 is a thing it really lowered the bar that the others just rose above the lvl easily without even having to move.
It is a decent game with bits of fallout and rpg elements but overall it's just an fps guns blazing game.
It's like uh...
*finger snaps*
far cry 5 i think and dying light.
The games suck but they're still fun. The stories no one plays them for the stories same for 4.
People play 4 for the mods and gun play / customizable bits like weapons and settlements being a big part of the replay ability of the game (seriously glad bethesda didn't pull a bethesda and take em out especially with that one dev who said they couldn't b/c the game had too much relying on settlement building).
It's not THE BEST FALLOUT GAME (that's a tie between 1 3 and NV)
but it can be in the ranks for the FUNNEST FALLOUT GAME. or at least THE MOST CREATIVE FALLOUT.
Just like fallout shelter isn't a good fallout game it's still a fun game if you see it as a standalone game.
probably why Todd wanted to try to monetize 4 and Skyrim paid mods (which again some mods break 4 even though they're 100% endorsed by the main devs).
btw Bethesda didn't do the OG fallouts or NV. They did half or more of the fallout games in fallout but they don't feel like fallout games b/c the pacing and storylines are all over the place.
It's like the West Coast is one storyline and the East Coast is another. Maybe the bombs altered the world like in adventure time. Instead of magic though we get some parts that seem to be warped in reality to different universes where it's the same ♥♥♥♥ but stuffs a bit different like nuka cola or drugs and weapons and armor.
my god if that's some 100 billion IQ play i can't begin to imagine how the Legion is since they cannonly control most of the mid west. Probably half are football gear wearing roman larpers and the other side in the east coast are probably the same but use power armor and machines in a steampunk manner.
Fallout 4 - 3000 + hours (mostly Ps4, hence no show on steam)
Baldurs Gate 1 & 2: 2000 + hours
Heroes of Might and Magic 3: 2000 + hours
This game is a rock solid investment. -- For Me --
My F4 calculation is an average of 2 hours / day pr year for 5 years. I "Know" that i play at least 20 hours a week average most weeks. But some weeks are less.
It's a masterpiece for some people who like it. And maybe one day, I'll make it even wackier.
I have 3500 hours in this game without ever finishing the main story with any character. The furthest Ive got is inside the institute. Once.
This logic hurts.
