That's what the list is there showing you, if it's not enabled, it will not appear in your game. If you've somehow been playing with those you've only had half of them available to you.
But you should read EVERY piece of information about every single mod you install before you download it. You might or might not WANT all of them enabled, or they may conflict with other things you're using.
There are Mod authors out there that package multiple plugins into a single file that are enabled based on choices you make during the install, or based on other mods you have installed.
They do this for multiple reasons (compatability being the big one), and thus enabling these plugins CAN CAUSE huge issues for you! The only way to know what is going on without ripping those plugins apart and viewing what is happening is by reading all the information about the mod, this means the title page, the posts page, and the bug report page.
Yes its tiring and can take time, but reading the info is far faster than rebuilding your modded game again from scratch, which can be the end result of mucking around with plugins that shouldn't be enabled with your game settings...
