Can you craft 40mm frag grenades?

So I found the next-gen update added some new weapons and some of them use this as ammo.

Is this gonna be another dud like the 7.62mm assault rifle you have to go to nuka world vendors to buy ammo from? Or will the ammo ever show up as loot at the chem station?

As far as I am aware, its vendor only by base game.

of course, ammo crafting mods fix this.
