it is still a buggy mess. however, on PC you can get mods that make it far less buggy.

but bethesda abandoned updating this game long ago and left it a buggy mess.

Honestly the majority of the bug complaints in the forums are self inflicted with FPS tweaks, improper hardware setup. and mods.

UOF4P has lots of fixes, problem is the majority of them is someone playing grammar police. Which the wrong or broken grammar would kinda be a thing when the education system is broken.

Bethesda only did the minimum though. They made sure you could follow the main quest without game ending bugs. Side quests and other features were low priority and forgotten as they moved on to the next project.

Bethesda development is like Trump real estate development...make it fast...make it cheap....then take the money and run before the customer realizes it is falling apart around them. lol...speaking of;

I have 2,200 hours in this game. After I first installed the Unofficial Patch, I don't recall having any more issues with quests. And over 1,000 hours with NO crashes at all. And I have a fair number of mods. I've done a dozen or so play throughs.

Agree with Bored Peon. So-called FPS "fixes" are probably causing most of the issues that people are complaining about.

No it's not. I've got a ps4. I played it today. I've got a 60 hour game save, finished the game and done 2 DLC and it crashed once. No mods. I've had no bugs either except the dancing dead death claw bug.

I have over 3200 hrs in the game, played on a PC and use no outside source mods. The game has very little bugs. Esp. game breaking ones. Very stable also, with the number of CTD's I can count on one hand. Most of the complaints I see on this forum about game issues, is by those who use mods.

I have over 5k hours in this game, ranging from my first vanilla playthrough to my current modded one. I've been on this forum since the game's release in 2015 and I can assure you, the overwhelming majority of the "bugs" are self inflicted and mostly resulting from:

* poor choice of mods - unfortunately, lots of players don't bother to READ the authors' mod pages and as a result, they wind up with mod incompatibilities that bork their game. You'd be amazed how much can be avoided simply by doing your research before adding ANY mod

* improper use of console commands - the console isn't a cheat tool. It's meant for debugging and it should be used that way. Brute forcing a quest for example, can result in unexpected results that can rear its ugly head later on in the game. Use the console as a LAST resort and READ the wiki before you do. The bugs in this game have been well documented and the wiki contains most if not all of the proven fixes.

* improper hardware setup - just because your hardware is capable of a zillion FPS, that doesn't mean this game or any other game should be played at that speed. Again, do your research first and then setup your rig accordingly. This forum has a wealth of information and most fixes can be found by a simple search.
