Basically every game has a wiki of some sort now. And The Fallout 4 wiki lists the chances.

The chances are very small. Your luck stat plays a part, as does repeated attempts on the same machine. So the odds vary.

.....dang, didn't even know there was a chance to get something from it. I thought it was a joke reference to claw games. Also when I realized the cake looked perfectly preserved, after over two hundred years, I realized I wouldn't eat that anyway, so I just moved on.

Had no idea it was possible to get that cake. ....Now I kind of want it, despite it probably being a very Bad Idea to eat it. ....Though the game is probably a coward and won't actually make you sick for eating it, like how the pink goop has no side effects.

With Luck 10, it starts at a 2% chance. Each additional attempt adds a very small amount to the chance.

Perfectly safe to eat. It just sucks for the amount of effort you need to put in to get it. 30 hit points of healing, while grilled radstag heal 120, and you can get 2 from each radstag (with the perk magazine). With a base price of 20 caps, its not worth selling either.

I got tired of waiting around for 20 real time minutes trying to get each pie.
So I modified the script and can now get a pie in 1-5 minutes.
