Fire Support quest bugged.

From what I've heard this is a pretty common bug but when when I go and help Dance kill all the ghouls at the police station but then try and talk to him to progress, he'll just keep saying the same dialogue again and again as if there are still enemies even after I've definitely killed all of the ghouls. I've tried restarting the game, running away and sleeping a full 48 in-game hours, shooting Dance until he falls down then gets back up, etc. All the solutions I've seen either involve using commands (Which I do not have access to because I play on survival) or installing mods, which I also don't wanna since I like having achievements. Dose anyone know anyway to fix this? Or am I just ♥♥♥♥♥♥? Thanks.

oh, well whaddya know. turns out the mod author was kindly enough to include their own dll file for those, for whatever reason on god's green earth decide they don't use F4SE.
Now you've got no excuse under the sun for not just helpin' yourself...

Considering that the Steam Deck doesn't play nice with F4SE unless you do some major tinkering and copying files over from a PC setup, i'm quite happy abou that DLL. ^^

As for the OPs question, I also only could proceed with that quest by advancing it through the console command "set stage", because Danse would keep acting like the Ghoul fight was still ongoing even though they were all dead already. Some people had success by reloading a much earlier save before starting the quest, but your mileage may vary.

Yeah. You're not joining the BOS today. May as well kill them for the XP. Sometimes I get a fusion core and the key to the police station when I loot Danse.
Or you can get a slavery mod and send them to a settlement. I put Rhys and Dance in dresses and use Danse as a guard and Rhys as a brahmin driver.

They're set essential until you talk to them though. That's why this mission is stupid buggy.
