Bethesda Fix the Face Editing Mods Causing Stuttering Issue?
I haven't played in quite a while and I remember considering playing around the time the next gen update came out but had heard that the update basically caused any mods that modified NPC facial data to cause stutters (including the unofficial patch). Has this been fixed yet? If so, awesome. If not, has Bethesda actually responded with a timeline or explanation?

Unless you have personally experienced this issue, don't rely on "did they x thing to y feature" because it might be due to mods, computer updates/changes, or anything else that might also go wrong.

MOST mods were unaffected in the first place. MANY mods that were, only were affected as long as F4SE wasn't updated and they updated F4SE within about 2 weeks.

The stuttering was due to interaction with one SPECIFIC face mod however, so it's not now nor has it ever been on bethesda to fix that.

What makes you actually think its Bethesdas job to fix problems with mods?

Considering the company heavily focuses on mods for their games (through creation tools and integrating it into the game's menus), require mods to fix their buggy games because they fail to fix critical issues (How many times have they released Skyrim without fixing some serious game breaking/crashing bugs), and are currently trying to promote the selling of mods. I'd expect them to facilitate modders if there are issues causing most people to straight recommend downgrading the game instead of doing the most recent update. Especially if that update is required for something you're selling and could make money off of.

I posted here because I had heard about issues with the next gen update and then news about it disappeared. I was curious if the issue had been dealt with so I could actually play the game with the Unofficial Patch and other mods without the heavy stuttering that people were talking about.

Read what you said.
Creation Club is Bethesda. They have a responsibility for those.

3rd party is "Play at your own risk"

Drop a note to the mod maker to see whats up to let them know theres a problem. Its what players should be doing instead of going off on Bethesda=bad rants.

Lack of knowledge, and entitlement attitude.

"How many times have they released Skyrim without fixing some serious game breaking/crashing bugs)"

And then you expect THIS one to get fixes?

Considering it got a lot more attention than the mistakes of Skyrim, yes. Few people seem to care about the actual game breaking bugs of Skyrim. People cared about these bugs leading to the delay of Fallout London and people having their mods break for what felt like little actual gains. My memory of the news cycle was how it was a problem for what felt like a long while at the time without anyone being entirely sure of what the problem was and how to fix it. It then disappeared from my radar, hence posting this to check in. Usually community responses like the one that occurred to the update do lead to some type of response from companies, especially if it can be addressed and give an easy PR win. But I guess I should lower my expectations for Bethesda.

Again this is absolute fantasy on your part man. Maybe a dozen or so indie companies lurk here and respond, and those 'one man shows' of very small games, yeah.

Bethesda and other large companies do not maintain any presence here or even on their own site any more since they shut their forum down and went to a freakin discord.

No large company will respond to some squawking on the steam forum.

Again my first post is the advice: If it happens FOR YOUR GAME, then look for the most modest amount of 'fix mod' you can, to avoid further complicating the game. Don't load your game with 'but everyone uses it' fixes, because your game may not NEED those fixes.

Why should they 'fix' anything related to mods?
