anyone else play with basically no hud?
or am i the only one?

How to run without HUD? Using parameter cheats? Or using third party mods? Or by turning heads unit display color bar to black?

It does have an opacity/transparency value to play with so I suppose one way is to crank that to 100% or near transparent. Another is to use a console command that removes it, which I did by accident once and it was terrifying when I expected some other command :D

I have the hud totally turned off. No compass, no health bar, no ammo counter...

It makes things interesting...

I have no quest markers on compass and compass disabled, (changed in fallout4prefs.ini file)
No crosshair, (again in the .ini file)
Only detrimental effects shown and no dot shown in the centre of the screen, changed in the launcher options.
Ammo shown when weapon is drawn.
No sneak icon shown, disabled with a mod.
No health crippled popups, again disabled with a mod.

No...never even considered it. I don't have VATS before being frozen....then I have VATS after thawing...before I have a Pip-Boy...therefore the HUD is lore by logical default. If memory serves...there is no HUD prior to being frozen as well...not to sure since I just grab the first save of a previous character to start a new one at this point.

I can't go absolutely no HUD but I reduce it to about 20% opacity. The real hipster move is no music. My music slider is always at 0%. It telegraphs too much. I'd rather not know an enemy has me in its sights until I take the .38 round in the jaw.

i only have music enabled because i use the mod that turns the music to dooms music:)

I always try to get as minimal an HUD I can get in such games. :)

I want to see nothing normally but the world. Compass, aim point (I need a special mod like "Third Person First Person Aiming" because I'm always playing 3rd person) and markers of course are deactivated, same for hp, ammo, all infos about enemies and hit markers.

That's my HUD with DefUI, no photo mode, I just turned the camera, you see ... nothing.
