yeah I know, my problem rn or for a couple of days is that the game crashes so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ often. I can literally play for 15 min and the crash happens and I get different EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION ID's every time so I cant even specify what the problem is.
Last couple of days really haven't been fun playing and I am so close to finish Chapter 3 but playing like this is really.. torture
Are you running buffout at all? Because you should be finding output values that can correspond to your specific mods in buffout.
yup I am running Buffout and the right version of it. (for the downgraded version of FO4)
I am also running high FPS Physics Fix, X-Cell, Baka MaxPapyrusOps, Weapon Debris Crash Fix and so on, all the core mods stuff that you get recommended.
would be weird since I played FO4 for weeks now and nothing happened until a couple of days ago but could also be that it had nothing to complain about until now but like I said idk what it is.
I may have to face it.. that I have to reinstall FO4, only install a handful of mods and SS2 and cheat myself to the current quest cause im not starting this mod from the beginning for the 5th time.
Admittedly, its what I had to do... I have a list of 300 mods that I love..... And I couldn't use any of them with SS2 and keep SS2 chugging along without missed triggers.
I feel ya brother
the thing is up to chapter 3 it really went smooth, maybe had to reload two or three times because an NPC wouldn't talk and thats it but after in chapter 3 the whole mess started.
almost all quests were bugged or my game crashed before, while and after quests.
this then sadly also affected The Fens Sheriff which I was almost done with.. so I can play both from the beginning AGAIN on a thinned modlist.
trust me their page is full of bug reports and everything but its often hard to tell if its their mod or another conflicting since most of us run bigger mod lists although SS2 team even suggest to run as little as possible (which I ignored) cause fallout really needs a lot of mods for me to enjoy it.
Imma try it with only a few mods along SS2 now and see if it goes better
My mod list is such that I would have to throw out like 80% of my must-haves in order to touch Sim Settlements at all and I just will not do that. I LOVE building settlements, so while there's a lot going for the SS2 mod otherwise, I personally don't think I'd get enough out of it to make tossing most of my mod list away.
The whole settlement building in SS2 was really not what I cared about tbh. I just love well written NPC's and quests and SS2 really had good voice actors to catch me and the quest IS fun ngl.
If only it wasn't so buggy and so demanding of all the power your PC has to literally throw out all your other mods..
Just because it is so well done!
But the loss of mods is a deal breaker for many, and I can understand that....
@Zekiran if you ever have to rebuild your mod list, before you do, try out sim settlements 2. You may love it, despite the mod restrictions.
