Rug glitch gone?

Nah, worked fine for me yesterday when I was putting a Nuka Cola machine in my character's personal room in the middle of my Spectacle Island building.

Try using a couple of rugs, maybe using both the small and big rugs. Seems easier to pull off that way.

I thought so too briefly, make sure the item you're trying to place is actually on the rug, not sitting through it into the ground. Once I discovered that I'm having no problems.

I noticed I can't use it after installing Alternate Settlements. I removed it and started a new game but I think its definitely left something behind / changed something because I cant even place turrets on the stone broder fence in Sanctuary anymore after installing it.

I fgured it was that, but then if other people are having issues maybe it isnt :/

Patching the rug glitch out would be evil. Because it's more of a fix than anything, and people have used it to build amazing things. Heck, Bethesda has featured a settlement building video on Facebook, which used the fock out of the rug glitch!

Yes, now i can confirm its still there. Problem is they somehow ♥♥♥♥♥♥-up collision, and now some items like junk fence are half-way through ground, you have to aim up too much

I foudn you had to use it on a FLAT surface now, using it on the ground that is uneven does not work as it used to.

I had like a ton of rugs spawn in sanctuary, is that the glitch?

I've been away from Fallout 4 for a bit and just recently tried the rug glitch. Does not seem to work anymore. I can pick up items no problem with the rugs, same as we've always done, just cannot clip the picked up items into walls anymore. Anyone else finding this? I've tried in several different settlements and no luck. The rugs are well away from the walls because I use 3-4 to give me a good length. Therefore the 1st rug I pick up, which connects all the other rugs and the desired object, I know is not colliding with anything and should allow the desired object to be pushed into the other structure.

I for the life of me cannot get the glitch to work. It will work with two rugs, a toolbox on a rug and tons of random crap, just never with a wall.

The rug glitch in its most basic form only works with non-snapping objects, which rules out most wall pieces. You can use it with junk fences as I recall, since those don't snap to anything.
