Game crashing after 1.3 update

First I have over 500 hours playing FO4 with 5 avatars, 3 have not finished the game yet. On loading save game it immediately crashes to desktop, have tried save games from all 5 avatars result is the same. Have disabled all mods but the result is the same, has anyone else had this problem or does anyone else have a solution. Will also add my mods were all manually installed I do not use the nexus mod manager. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Me too i reinstalled the game. when i never installed NMM it works. But when i do install NMM it crashes after 5 seconds on the main menu. OP if you leave the main menu scren up will it crash there too?

That is your main problem right there....you are trying to load save games that all have mod dependencies in the saves after having turned off all your mods...

Also, if you are using the Gore Overhaul mod, then that is your culprit as many people have reported CTDs while using this mod, and none after turning it off.

Sorry if I was not clear , game crashed before I removed mods and also after I removed mods on all 5 avatars. I do not have the gore overhaul mod these are my mods and there order

Well, it could be that any one of those mods has left behind script in your save games that is conflicting with the 1.3 update.

As I also use those, and 32 others, and do not have this issue.

Depending on what each mod does, and whether or not it uses scripts, could have a negative effect on the game with the recent update until the mod authors update the mod for 1.3

Being that the mods were installed manually, there is a good chance that there are scripts floating around still, essentially corrupting your saves.

Do you still CTD if you start a new character with no mods installed?

Game working fine, saves working fine, no issue, then again no mods or the manager either...

If you have HBAO+ turned on, go back to SSAO. I kept getting crashes with it on. I have been using the Beta 1.3, so if they haven't fixed it, could be that. :-)

This was happening constantly when I had this 1.3 beta running, and when I reverted to previous version it was fixed. Now that 1.3 is offical I cannot play for more than 10-15 seconds without a fatal crash to the desktop, and no crash reports to use to try to find a reason. I even installed a clean version without any mods and I can't even get to the vault in the prologue.

All drivers updated, lowest settings, and no mods. I cannot figure out a reason.

Finally finished redownloading it for the 5th time, and it crashes seconds after reacing the main menu (or durring the special movie if it loads one). i deleted all my .ini files and revalidated them back, i removed my save files and still nothing. THE BETA WORKED JUST FINE. why did they screw with it?

Would someone tell me if they are using any one of this mods and its having no problems after the patch 1.3? I'm asking because I cant play FO4 it crashes everytime I load a save.

I ran into the same issue after the 1.3 patch. As soon as the loading screen finished it crashed to the desktop where it would normally show the power armor frame.

I purged a bunch of mods from Nexus Mod Manager and it's working again. If anyone else is crashing and uses mods, maybe you'll recognize something on this list and can try uninstalling it:

Make sure Everything is up to date, mods Ect. That worked for me.
