Can't activate door after finding all of Eddie Winter tapes.

I was doing the Eddie Winter quest with Nick Valentine and found all 10 of the tapes, he told me a code and i went to where Eddie Winter is at.
Got there, tried to activate the door/lock to open it and all i get is some random beeps instead of him reciting the numbers and opening the door.
This gets really frustrating since i tried reloading a save and just completely exiting the game and opening it again, didn't work.

The only other save i have before i got to that point is from 2 hours ago and i really don't want to do all of this ♥♥♥♥ all over again.

Also tried to "no collide" through the door and just move Nick to me, but then Nick just keeps staring at the door from the other side.

Can't talk to Eddie either

1.make sure Nick is with you at the door.he should have some monologue once he is there

2.clear the area from any raiders/dogs;this might also help if Nick got stuck somewhere and refuses to get to the door

yea something else too, my Nick got lost somewhere, i could hear him but i couldn't see him
so the only option i could do was to move him to me in front of the door

i will try to see if i killed all the raiders

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so this is what happened.

I went up to where the speakeasy is and killed those raiders too, went back to see if i could find Nick (still hiding somewhere or being invisible) so i try to sleep in a bed for a few hours, i wake up, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Nick standing next to me "Let's not keep Eddie waiting"...

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ robot, anyway it worked, we ran to the door together and i could input the code.
