Since I am focusing on the high level Strength and Agility perks, I have left Intelligence at 1.
So I suggest you ONLY tke a new combat perk when you are struggling in combat. That way the game remains a challenge.
Chuckle. Perhaps I should add that while the above is my general approach, I am considering maxing out explosives for when I feel like mindless destruction. :)
I've noticed them too and have had a good chuckle at them. This is more about trying different builds and seeing how much fun they can be.
Although I do admit the regular super mutants are starting to become easy to kill at level 11 with two ranks of both Iron Fist and Big Leagues perks - and that's on survival, however I am MUCH more excited to see how far I can push my character into the more dangerous areas of the world.
I am already considering a heavy armour/weapon, high powered build for another playthrough. I have a feeling that not long into that build there is gointg to be carnage like you wouldn't believe.
I reckon you'll get a fair way into more dangerous areas with 2 ranks in those perks at lvl11 - I'm lvl45 and have 2 ranks in Rifleman and Automatic and 10 strength and don't feel a need for more, yet. Oh - I'm playing on Very Hard, not Survival so maybeit will be a bit tougher for you than I thought at first.
Yeah the only thing I really have to be alert for is the fact you heal at a much slower rate and I need to find a way to deal with the suiciders.
Of course if all you want to do is bash stuff in the head....
Most quests have Novice locks, and those that don't can be opened by a companion.
Funny, that's not what I found in my 600+ hours of gameplay. Keeping intel at 1 star is a bad idea.
Of course, if you max you char it makes sense you are godly. I can do that even in dark souls games.
All I do is unarmed. Power Fist. Occasionally I use a .50 caliber rifle for out-of-reach stuff.
Destroying everything on the hardest settings with the Fist.
Still haven't selected the Toughness perk. It's not needed at all.
If you ever get into a tight spot, just use Jet. It will help you 'cheat' your way out.
You should get the Adamantium Skeleton instead. It's the only 'toughness boost' you need.
