Changing Damage of a Weapon
Using console commands, or something similar, is there a way to edit the damage output of a weapon? I want my 2076 World Series bat to do more damage per hit , despite being modded fully. This is my muck around account, meaning I use commands for everything as already completed the storyline three times legit.

Well.. according to my inventory I do over 750dmg per hit with the76 world series bat! May be a tad too much, but hey :P
For anyone who find this thread the old method used in Skyrim ie.
prid player
modav attackdamagemult #
No longer works in Fallout 4, you have to use AttackDamageMult's Fallout 4 Form ID like so:
prid player
modav 00000357 #
Then it will work. It will multiply the player's damage out for all weapons/attack by the number you specify. I'm currently using x3 in the old version of survival mode until the balance patch I want is made or I have to make it myself because my fully upgraded legendary sniper should be able to take a stupid forged raiders head off if I nail them with a head shot. Mind you that's just my opinion, anyone can play however they like.

Easiest way is to grab FO4Edit or the GECK (I haven't played with that yet) and just modify the weapons values there. Otherwise you need to do like others recommended and change damage scaling for everything or mod your strength.
I'll make some sort of mod when I find the time, I have access to the Geck beta thankfully.

If people could give responses rather than acting like children have tantrums that would be great.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Todd Howard even said that mods make their games good, installing a mod is no different to typing player.additem 000f 9999999, I hate people that DON'T use cheats in Fallout.

:trump: We need to build a wall around our settlement...

where are you getting this code from?
it dosent work.
its not a recognised actor value. (av).

can it be added as an ini string? if so whats the full line and under what catagory?
im fine just using a 1.1x player damage multi esp and a 6x enemy damage mult esp.
i want to know where you got this line from?
Sorry i was trying to remember how to do this from work, but now that im home i got it.
the Actor Value is not actualy named Attackdamagemult for the command name its actually a number "357" to be exact. so the correct way to put this in is

player.modav 357 # (remember 1 is normal 2 is double, these changes will reflect on the actual number seen in the inventory)
Edit:stupid auto correct
Hey this helped a lot thx.
Although it turns out I cant use this for a mod I was working on I have started messing around with it. THough Iv noticed this effects ballistic dmg only. So not any of my plasma/laser weapons energy dmg stats.

Anyone happen to know what it is for Energy dmg?

Those arguing with the people claiming console is cheating should note they are being trolled.
Google the definition of 'cheat' if you need validation and ignore these asinine children.

You must have your player character selected in the console, that's why i said type "prid player" first that will return a number like 0000014, that needs to be up in the center of the console, that means your character is selected. Then type modav attackdamagemult 2

Was it worth it? To revive a 3.5 year old thread that already had the answer you so thoughtfully blurted out there without reading the rest of the thread?

How did you even find this? What made you think it was a good idea to comment on this? The OP has fought in several wars and now has children of his own.

This thread not only doesn't answer any questions but also makes me really upset. People can cheat if they want D:
