For anyone who may have had the game breaking Vault 111 "Black Dome" glitch... (PC)

First time I've posted something like this, and I'm not sure if this will benefit many, but if you have the annoying glitch involving the "black dome" and don't want to teleport every single time, I've figured out a way to correct the issue on the PC (possibly permanently).

First, make sure you hit the vault door button, then proceed to stand where the elevator is supposed to be. At this point, the player will freeze for the elevator "cut scene." When this occurs, open the console and enter the following:

setpos z 8000
(This is what I used, if you want to try another value you can use "getpos z" and find what works. I know for a fact in my case, however, a value of 6900 or less is too low and it just kills you from falling)

This should make your character appear below the elevator, and they will fall into the "teleport" region beneath the elevator. If all works out fine, the player will be on the elevator, traveling down into the vault. There's also a possibility the player position will automatically sent the elevator back to the surface, but it should be working fine all around by that point.

The only thing I can figure with this bug is something goes wrong during a load and the game mistakenly sets the elevator's position opposite of where it should be.

Again, as far as I'm aware, this is a semi-permanent solution, I haven't ran into the problem again. But if you're like me, and don't want to mess with console every time you want to get into the vault for whatever reason, I would give this a try.

Thank you very much. This seems to have fixed the "Black Dome of Death" completely. I returned to vault 111 at level 65 to try out the Cryolator. I could not enter the vault, and was incredibly frustrated as you can imagine. Your post saved my game. I can't thank you enough. :)
