SPOILER | USS Constitution second quest?

hi, after you complete the quest with the USS constitution, and it lands on top of the skyscraper, is there anything else to actually get the ship into the water? i've talked to the captian ironsides, and he promoted me and gave me access to the captains quarters and a captains hat. but he said he will lauch the ship again to get it into the ocean. when or how does that happen? i can't find anything. i've talked to all the crew already.

The first time I played through the game I absolutely was able to watch the ship launch into the ocean, and for the life of me, I can not remember how this happened after the first crash. There is 100% more to the story to get the final launch. I can not find an answer anywhere.

Well, there is multiple possibility, choose the one that seems the more probable for you:

_ You had a false memory, it happens.
_ You have the only copy of the game that propose this issue.
_ You had a mod in your game that do it, if any are existing anyway.
_ You're just seeking for attention.


It's indeed a bit frustrating to see the boat stuck again, and that its quest don't go further, but it's allready a nice quest. The regret I have personally is the game's way to tell you you can't be on the boat while it goes. I saw people do it, but I die everytime.. It should be possible.

It's technically possible, yeah. First time I did it was with power armor and jumped before it crashed on the building. You can accomplish the same with the freefall leg armor pieces.

This is a really cool mod revolving around the Ship. Basically re-creates it as a MOVABLE player settlement. The lower decks are fully customizable, And the main ship can be moved to 3 major locations while it also lets you take the rowboat to other locations. On survival mode it was a great base.

What's even is you can ALSO take the ship to Far Harbor and use it as a base there. This was one of my top 5 favorite fo4 mods.

I'd rather old posts be necro'ed and information be updated then people spamming new posts over and over. I never understood why ppl whine about a Thread filled with information about a topic being resurfaced.

And I never understood the necro thing, aren't forum made for exactly that ? Time isn't really relevent online...

Damn, that mod looks amazing.. I'll get another spit by saying it, like "I have nothing to do here", but I'm on PS4 and that's one of those time I severly regret it..

yea people talking about necroing is kinda silly. Many just do google searches or something and respond to posts, that doesn't really show them how old the posts are. But again, good info never goes out of date.
