Launcher simply Launching the Launcher
What a title, huh?

I decided to play F4 today, tried to launch the game, only to discover that it just kept relaunching the launcher! So I researched it, found that other people had similar issues and they fixed it through changing the launcher name, downloading the latest F4SE, launching the game/steam as admin and guess what? None of those worked! So does anyone have any other suggestions that might help because I would love to play some more of the game that I bought.

Edit: I should add that I actually was playing the game last night with no issues whatsoever.

Try this then:
1) Rename Fallout4Launcher to something else
2) Copy and paste Fallout 4
3) Rename Fallout4 to Fallout4Launcher
4) Rename Fallout 4 (1) to Fallout 4
You should then be able to skip the launcher, but then there's the obvious question:
"How will i modify my settings?"

If this doesn't work, I have no idea what's causing this.. although, I've had it happen once with skyrim and I'm not sure how it fixed itself.

Just tried that, same result. All that occurs is Steam popping up saying "Launching F4...." and then that small window closes and then a new one with the same message pops up. This goes on in an endless loop.

Launching the launcher as administrator might work or restarting steam, there's potential fixes which i'll link here:

[1]

In the Libary in Steam, rightclick on Skyrim -> select properties -> select the Local Files tab -> Click Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

[2]

Go to the steam install folder > steam > steamapps > common > skyrim. Right click on the skyrim launcher and properties and check run as admin, save it and then double click the launcher. The Skyrim menu should pop up and let you play

[3]

Restart steam.

[4]
Launch steam in offline mode, then try to start the game.

Haha, I am well aware. Thank you both. Currently verifying the cache atm. It is taking forever so I will update once I have tried all of these.

Edit: Or I will update whenever. I don't know. I'm bored and angry.

Wrong, it kept saying "preparing to launch Fallout 4", then went away, then came back, then went away, over and over.

Does it matter? This problem still persists by the way.

You are a champion, :2015candycane:Merry Christmas:2015candycane:
Again, does it matter? Does some stock go down in your portfolio or do you lose another toe or something?
