Though I found it for less $$ elsewhere with post holiday sales
Scroll down until you see the following underneath "[Display]":
bBorderless=
bFull Screen=
iSize H=
iSize W=
"iSize H" and "iSize W" are your resolution settings for Fallout 4. Change those to whatever suits your needs. "bBorderless" enables borderless windowed mode when set to "1". Most people recommend this. Just make sure "bFull Screen" is set to equal "0" when "bBorderless" is enabled.
Let me know if that fixed your resolution problem.

Do yourself a favor and get an Ultrawide 21:9 monitor. Best move I have made in a long time. Immersive games like this become twice as immersive. Literally every game I have played has been brought to life since I ditched my 144hz 27 inch and grabbed a 34 inch ultrawide.
Same here. I haven't used a 'monitor' in years. My current set up is two 32" Samsung LED HDTV's.
I can watch netflix on one screen and play a game on the other one. I love multi tasking.
