Fallout 4 Save Cleaner, Slight Spoilers
So I installed a mod that would allow me to keep the BOS from getting hostile when I had Danse as a companion after saving him during Blind Betrayal. All was well until I wanted to get rid of it due to a bug that it caused: I could not raise affinity with any other companions. Unfortunately, even after uninstalling the mod (which was actually a script that overwrote the original script causing the hostility), I still have the effects of the mod, including the bug. This means that Danse is currently my only maxxed out companion. Here is the mod/script I installed: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2043/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D2043%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D3433570&pUp=1

Anyways, the creator of the mod said that it will probably only be fixed when the CK or a save cleaner comes out, and while the CK is currently being developed, a save cleaner for FO4 has come out. I would really love if someone could help me use the FO4 save cleaner (available here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/838/? . I have never used a save cleaner and I would appreciate it if someone could help.

I could reinstall the whole game, but because the script is stuck in my saves, that means I'd have to start again. Thank you!

when I've used a utility with the same name and function for Skyrim it's been really straight forward. Find a youtube video on using Save Cleaner for Skyrim and it should be about the same. There are two videos toward the bottom for it on it's nexus description page found here and I think it's about the same.

Also, according to the Fallout 4 utility author these are his instructions:
You run it, enter the number of saves per character you want preserved, tell it to make backups of the to-be deleted saves if you want, and run. Ta da, problem fixed.
>> *Update: I've downloaded it and for the life of me I don't know how to open it. If I open the program. It wants to open MS Visual Studio Plus which it looks like it's meant to (.sln file) but I don't see what I can do there.

Good luck

You realize that you just necro'd a 4 month old thread right?

I realize I was looking into an issue for myself as well and thought to post a response of what I found. I think if you google "fallout 4 save game cleaner" you won't find a lot about it.
I did see how old it was. Maybe it'll help someone else. It just didn't matter to me how old it was. Thanks for the heads up though : )

Like me.

Thanks for the info.

"Necro"ing threads is not a bad thing if you can add to the subject.
