Can't settle Somerville Place
I've been doing a ton of missions for the Minutemen, but still no quest making it possible to settle Somerville Place.. It is the only settlement I don't have.. I've played for almost 200 hours and being lvl50 I think it should have popped.. Any suggestions? Maybe a console command to pop the quest or something?

I haven't been to Sumerville Place yet but, as with the other settlements all you should need to do is go there and talk to whom ever you find. You don't have to wait until Garvey gives you a quest to help the settlement.

Here's the wiki page. Just go to the settlement http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Kidnapping_at_Somerville_Place#Somerville_Place

If Somerville Place quest is the same as The Slog, try listening to Radio Freedom, I got The Slog through the radio, not Garvey.

That is one of the options on the wiki page to get the quest started.

Just go to Somerville Place from time to time. If they have a problem at that moment then they will ask your help. Settlements are not just a minuteman thing. In my second playthrough on survival I didn't go to Concord at the start of the game and when I eventually did I already had all settlements at my command(except Bunker Hill and Air Port).

Summerville worked fine for me but the workbench at the airport I can't use always pisses me off.

You will unlock it by either siding with or destoying brotherhood.

Thanks guys.. Quite typical, a few played hours after my post, Somerville Place became available to me randomly through Prestons never ending quests :)

Next time, you can just kill everyone there and settle it yourself.

That's one way of doing it xD
Thanks!

I'm nearly at the point of going in and offing the Dad (I understand then the kids run away). I'm way past the point when the radiant MM quests end -- something annoying that was added in a recent patch. Nothing for ages from Radio Freedom or from Garvey. I keep popping in there with Garvey in tow to see if they decide spontaneously that they need help. but (so far) nothing.

That wrokbench is for a specific BOS quest.

At level 60 I gave up waiting. Preston havn't given any quests since around level 40.
I shot the settler while he was sleeping. Kids ran away. My settlers were friendly when they arrived.

(The Freedom Radio have only given me quests for settlements I already have. Not a single quest for non-owned settlements.)

Bit of an old thread, but just want to add that after doing everything else in the game and hitting like level 115, I finally gave up and shot the guy for the place (hey, I'm a raider now, so it's expected).

I can only guess that by doing the BoS quest for supplies, that it allied the settlement to BoS, such that I could no longer recruit it with a Minutemen quest.

Did another playthrough and found while trying to settle Sommerville Place, the person I was supposed to meet was floating around in the glowing sea. Yes, I have mods. I used this code to bring that settler back : "001e81d6.moveto player" Space should be there. Remove quotes after hitting tilda. .

In my first playthrough I did the boring brotherhood supplies quest and lost that place.
