Console Text Size
When I started Fallout 4 today the text size in the console had become much smaller than usual, making it harder to read.

Have any other players experienced this?

Does anyone know how to change the size of the console text?

BTW I'm not talking about the number of lines (I already know how to alter that...)

Thanks!

They changed the resolution on you. When you launch the program, before selecting PLAY , select options and reset the screen resolution to your monitor's default.

Thanks. Re-setting the resolution in the monitor options worked. My Console text is now back to normal size.

Hey Deputy Dog, you said you know how to increase tje number of lines in the console? Ive been looking everywhere for that, how do you do it? The only way I know how to is by increasing the resolution making the text too small (the problem you had.)

Ok Stopokingme, here's a web link that explains how to add more lines to the console.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gamebryo_console_commands

Open up this page and scroll down to the chapter titled ".INI Files". Then look for the paragraph with the phrase "Furthermore, the console can be altered via these .INI files to allow more console text to be shown on-screen."

Here you will find clear instructions of the process. I altered my .ini file to allow for 200 lines of console text and it works well. Just use Page Up and Page Down to review your previous console entries. The same command should work in Oblivion, Skyrim and all Fallout games, as they use the same console engine.

I'm sure this is what you need. Good luck...

Thanks for this. Unfortunately this didn't work for me. But I found a way to do it

add these to Fallout4.ini

[Menu]
iConsoleSizeScreenPercent=40
iConsoleTextSize=20
rConsoleHistoryTextColor=153,153,153
rConsoleTextColor=255,255,255
rDebugTextColor=255,251,233

1st line = console display by resolution height percentage
2nd line = console text size
3rd line = font color after you type in console
4th line = font color for when you type something and for item ID (when you left click on something)
5th line = I don't know which color is this, I tried several times with no luck.

Here's the "insane" list if you want to configure INI

I know this is an old thread, but hoping someone can help. I'm using a 4k display and have made all the suggested adjustments, but even with a font size of 100, the bottom half of the console text is being cut off. I've tried setting commands for row height, screen height, etc, but can't seem to solve the problem. Any suggestions?

I'm in the middle of writing a quest series mod, and really need to get this working as I test the mod.

I just upgraded to a 4k monitor myself and am finding the same things. My console commands are so small they can not be read. Following the suggestions in the thread, so far no resolution.

Maybe lower the resolution of the game?
