Do you have to wear power armor all the time?
You get power armor at maybe level 2. Does that mean I have to wear it all the time? I walk into a building and I think, " Am I going to die without my power armor on in here? Do I need to go get it?" Does regular armor even protect you when a power armor piece is broken?
I'm used to walking around in regular armor, and then later getting power armor, like in Fallout 3. In Fallout 4, I am confused, because they give you both regular and power armor, and you can wear them at the same time. Im level 15 and I just died from 1 grenade with about 80% health. Now I need to leave the building and get my power armor.
I guess its just me, but I think they need to make it more clear that power armor MUST be worn when not in a community. It feels more like a vehicle this time, but also feels like being trapped inside a big metal thing.

You don't need to wear power armor. Pretty much the only time I bother wearing power armor is if I stumble across a nice set (say, it has the extra-rare X-01 pieces) and want to bring it back to a settlement.

Power armor doesn't stack with any armor or clothing underneath it.

Like the person before me, I only wear power armor when I find it. I do so just long enough to bring it back to my main settlement to store with the others. It's not necessary in the slightest.

Most definitely not. It's normal to die in games, ya know? It's possible to stumble across areas where you're too low level to take head on and power armor certainly helps, but no, it's not necessary at all.

Whats the point in having more than 1 suit?

Not if you don't want to. I only wear it when I expect heavy resistance. Also, grenades deal a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of damage. Thats intentional. Don't stand on top of them.

Not unless you're just starting out on Survival difficulty, probably not if you're running a sniper build.

You don't need to, but when/if you get to with the appropriate perks, that ♥♥♥♥ is godly. Extra mobility from the jetpack, stupid amounts of resist stat. Mix it with all the overpowered Chems like Psychobuff and Bufftats, and you'll be like:

No real point. I just do it to collect them.

lol it is fun to wear but no you dont need to. Your companions can wear any power armor you have on hand if you did not know you can improve it and make your companions more opp

I think power armour is more designed to be there for when your struggling and you just want to relax, if you dont have a very combat heavy build or have yet to find good regular style armour then power armour is very useful as its stats even on the worst armour ive found tend to be able to take a fair beating.

Most of the time i find grenades are more of a problem inside power armour then outside it, since grenades do alot of damage from those raiders with their satilites assisted aimming technology, outside of pwoer armour you can dodge them more easily.

I never wear it.. But I never used it in FO3 or NV either. Iit's a personal preference, but Bethestda really put it out there in this game for some reason and put the suits everywhere, etc. Kinda like they push VATS and VATS skill-set/perks, but I never use that and I know a lot of FO players never use VATS either. The idea that you can don a suit and "sneek" anywhere is kinda a funny addon this time. heh.

It's does feel more difficult to dodge grenades in Power Armor, but with the Explosive Shielding paint job, you take considerably reduced damage from explosives. It's OP as ♥♥♥♥.

Yes. PA is mandatory. Not using PA will erase your save file.
