Aside from that, it might be noted that in FO4, unlike Skyrim (and the original Fallout, for that matter), you are not declared the Chosen One according to prophecy.
But there are many open world games that have come out since then that don't play like Skyrim: Saints Row The Third
Saints Row 4
InFamous 2
InFamous Second Son
Far Cry 3
Far Cry 4
Dead Rising 3
GTA V
Just Cause 3
MGS V TPP
Xenoblade Chronicles X and a LOT more.
What games get called "Skyrim with guns" that isn't a Fallout game?
Of course, despite their obvious similarities, they are very different games. No doubt that is the part that gets to some folks.
Because Skyrim is pure Bethesda, while Fallout has some 'legacy' that was something 20 years ago, but died a long time ago. Bethesda ressurected it, but appearantly that was abd and Fallout should've just slided in obscurity
Well problem is that legacy was never dead. Dude there are still active modders to original Fallout games! And many active net sites.
Problem is that Bethesda raped that legacy.
